Pam Miller (Guyett)

Pam passed away October 4, 2012. She was born on May 26, 1945 in Long Beach, California to Walter and Ellen Guyett. She was raised in Lakewood with her three brothers Bob, Jim and Bill. She attended Lakewood High School from 1961-1963. During that time she was president of Socii sorority, a Flag Girl, a member of the California Honor Society and met her future husband, Steve Miller. Pam married Steve in 1965 and had three children, Angie, Greg and John. She attended Long Beach City College and Cal State University Long Beach and went on to become a legal secretary and law office manager. Over her 47 years of marriage she enjoyed serving her community through John Tracy Clinic and CAMEO, where she was chair elect for 2013. She loved travelling with the Quest golf group and enjoyed reveling with friends in the Oak Room at Candlewood Country Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her seven grandchildren, Nicole, Karyssa, Makenna, Max, Sophia, Charlie and Elijah. Organizing family reunions, shopping, attending music and sporting events and simply going out to eat with her family were her greatest pleasures. Her legacy is her infinite love for her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and dear friends. She is survived by her husband, three brothers, nephews and nieces, three children and seven grandchildren. Services will be held at Lakewood Village Community Church on Friday, October 12 at 10:30 with reception to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Pam Miller CAMEO Scholarship Fund which has been established through CAMEO Professional Auxiliary of The Assistance League of Long Beach, 6220 East Spring St., Long Beach 90815.
