Bob, age 54, passed away after a valiant 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Bob was a bright presence in the lives of his family and multitude of friends all over the country. Bob was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 7, 1958 to his parents Harold Robert and Janet Pace Armstrong. He is survived by his parents, his loving wife, Dawn Armstrong and his 3 children, Evan Robert Armstrong, Samantha Reynoso and Cory Loew. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan (Armstrong) Torrens (David), Linda (Armstrong) Maresh (Alan). Bob was a proud 1981 graduate of Pennsylvania State University and had maintained his allegiance to PSU with a great fervor through the years. Bob's career as a human resources manager has taken him across the country; most recently as the vice president of human resources with The Henry Company in El Segundo, California. The family wishes to thank those involved with Bob's care at The City of Hope, Duarte, CA and a special thanks to his personal nurse Catherine Winteringham, who gave him the most loving, compassionate care in his final days. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 10:00am at The Wayfarers Chapel, 5755 Palos Verdes Drive South, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
