Thomas M. Radmilovich

Thomas M. Radmilovich

Born October 17, 1934 in San Pedro, passed away November 4, 2012 at his home (which used to be in San Pedro before the zip code was changed) after a hard-fought battle with lung, bone and brain cancer. He attended 15th Street School, Dana Jr. High and graduated from San Pedro High School with the summer Class of 1952. After 2 years in the Army, he was employed for a time with Pacific Bell before choosing the electrical trade, joining IBEW Local 11 and working as a union electrician until retiring in 1989. He then worked in the electrical shop at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, retiring completely in 1997. Tom was predeceased by his infant twin sister, Ann, parents, Henrietta and Vale Radmilovich and brother, Walt Radmilovich. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra (McCulloch); his sons, Mark and Greg (Erika Garcia) Radmilovich; his daughters, Jackie Vitalich Tatjes of Florida and Jamie (Dana) Vitalich of Lakewood; grandson, Thomas Derby Radmilovich; sister, Gloria Radmilovich; sister-in-law, Libby; and nephews, David, Paul and Michael Radmilovich, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; plus in-laws and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was the driving force in blending a family of his, hers' and ours' successfully and we loved and respected him for his honesty, loyalty and strength of character. He was a good union man, supported the Democratic Party and always tried to spend his money locally. We are thankful for the support of our friends at this sad time. We've been reliving memories of happier times past which fortunately bring much laughter along with tears. We will miss him but are grateful for the time we had and the influence he left on our family. We are especially grateful for the support and care Tom received from the staff at Kaiser Permanente, particularly the hospice department. Their care and concern certainly made his last days more comfortable and he was most appreciative. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2:00 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Democratic Party would be most welcome or to the . Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits and www.mcnerneysmortuary.com.
