Raymond Vanderpass Obituary

July 6, 1936 - November 1, 2010
Raymond, 74, was born in Minnesota, the fourth child of nine to Tony and Florence Vanderpass. Raymond proudly served his country as a corporal in the U.S.M.C. He worked as a lathing contractor in the construction industry in and around the South Bay for 45 years. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Tony and Florence and brothers, George and Tommy. He is survived by sisters, Maxine Rogers and Jeanette Mitko; brothers, Reuben, John, Duane and Dwight; plus many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Rodrigo and Esly Figueroa for their care and kindness. Memorial service at McMillan & McCormick Mortuary, 1016 W. 164th Street, Gardena, CA at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010. Inurnment will be a private service at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to V.A. Hospital, Long Beach, CA. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
