Marilyn passed away peacefully in her home with her devoted husband of 29 years, Robert Levy, and best friend, Ginger Perkins, by her side.

Marilyn was a Southern California girl through and through. She was born in Beverly Hills and moved to Newport Beach as a teenager. She attended UC Santa Barbara for her undergraduate degree and received her teaching credential from UCLA. She lived in Rancho Palos Verdes for the last 29 years.

Marilyn spoke Spanish beautifully and was proud to teach the subject in Torrance and Palos Verdes High Schools for over 30 years. Marilyn was an avid gardener, who loved her fruit trees and roses, and everything in between. She was particularly drawn to Cymbidium Orchids and at one time had as many as 100 pots that she cared for diligently. She and Robert loved to travel locally and abroad; and she also enjoyed many trips with her students to Mexico.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert, sister, Susan McElhinney (Stuart), step children Jill Stolt, Jeffery Levy and Larry Levy, nieces, Rachel, Danielle, Nellie and Sarah, nephews, Seth, Samuel, Daniel and Joshua. She is also survived by Robert's grandchildren, Brian Levy and Paige Kouretchian, and their children. She is predeceased by parents Samuel and Florence Hill, brothers Henry and Samuel, and sister Helen.
