Barbara Ann Bull

1934 - 2010

Barbara passed away on November 16, 2010 after a four-year battle with cancer. She was born on July 29, 1934 in Providence, RI to Arley and Evelyn Shoop. After growing up in Massachussetts, Barbara and her family moved to Illinois, where she met her beloved husband, Mason Bull. Moving to Southern California in 1957, the couple raised three children, David, Michael, and Kathleen. The family enjoyed traveling the country, camping and spending time at their cabin in Big Bear. Besides creating a loving home for her family, Barbara served as a volunteer at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. Barbara was widowed in 1980 after her husband lost his own battle with cancer. She worked at and became a co-owner of The Mail Shop in Rolling Hills Estates, until she relocated to Healdsburg, CA in 1988, where she spent the next 20+ years. Barbara's health improved briefly in 2010, allowing her to spend her last months in Southern California near family and friends. A graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
