Bill leaves behind a beautiful wife of 30 years, Toni Ann Hendrix. He is survived by four children; Bill Jr., Bruce, Paul and Shanda Hendrix, four grandchildren, Jeremy and Ryan Hendrix, Brandi Sleasman and Lenee Thompson, and five great grandchildren, Taybor, Alexis, Paisley, Sylas and Miles. He is also survived by his sisters; Sue Lawson, Linda McGough, and Jeanette Burton of Alabama, along with their husbands and many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Bill began his aviation career in the late 50's. After service in the Air Force, Bill was hired by the premiere airline, Pan American World Airways. He had 33 years of service with Pan Am before going on to the FAA. He received The Charles Taylor "Master Mechanics" Award in 2004, and retired from the FAA in 2006. Bill will be remembered as a man of integrity who loved to fly and enjoyed having a good time.
