Candy Kurz Kelley of Redondo Beach passed away on September 24, 2010 in the loving company of her husband of 18 years, Patrick J. Kelley. She was born in Inglewood, California on May 20, 1957 and flourished and excelled in many careers, including over 20 years as call center manager of United Airlines, modeling and catering for the Indy 500 car race team. She loved her many friends and adored her dog, Piper. In addition to her husband, Candy is survived by her parents, Frank and Tilly Kurz; sister, Jackie Kurz; extended family and many many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved Rolex. Services will be held on Friday, October 1st at 2:00 P.M. at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 1900 Prospect Avenue, Redondo Beach. Pat, we are so sorry for your loss of Candy. She was so full of warmth and understanding and the few moments I was able to spend with her were precious. When we lost our first son, standing next to Candy in your kitchen at one of your lovely parties talking, was really soothing and for that I am grateful. I am so happy that you two shared a special bond of love for all those years. We send you all our love and heartfelt thoughts.

For a few years you both lived down the block from me on the Avenue's. Candy and I worked together for years at LAXRR and at one point she was even my supervisor. Such a beauty inside and out. How terribly sad your loss Pat--truly saddening, and my heart goes out to you. In 2001 Candy asked if she could go to my mother's funeral...and Candy, I will be at your memorial.

Dear Pat,
Candy and I both became supervisors at LAXRR on the same day. She used to refer to us as "frick and frack". I'm so saddened to hear of her passing. It was a growing journey that we took together.
My luv and prayers are with you.
