I have always felt very connected to you through our shared love and respect for the sea. I cherish the menories I have with you. I am not sad for you Grandpa, fore I recognize how much you had and have...so did you. I'll see you someday, save a job for me on the boat.

Dad,
You do not know the void you filled in my life. My dad died 4 months before Rita and I got married. You filled that role for the last 25 years and always made me feel like a son to you. I will miss you and will try my best to take up the role of family teaser.
love,
Mitch

Dear Sandy and Family...
Richard's nickname should be BIG HEART as well as Big Head! I always enjoyed being with you and Richard, and laughed so much at all of the Iacono's Family Gatherings.

Dear Auntie Sandy and Cousins,
Uncle Richard was such a loved and cherished member of our family. I'll remember him most for his sense of humor, his love of family, and his huge heart. He knew what life was all about--faith, family, friends, fishing and of course, food! He will never be forgotten.
With love always,
Chris

TO Everyone. It was fate or something? but I met and started surfing with Vince when we were 14 or so. At some point I entered thier home and met Rich, Sandy, little alex and all these little sisters of various sizes. Of greate importance I sat down at the kitchen table and began what would become love for the bounty of delights they presented as a team in front of me. In time I came to see the Italian Norman Rockwell Family Iacono style. My family lacked the laughing and feel they created. In time it was Christmas Dinners that I could drop in and feel the same belonging, forty six years later I know where to feel at home home. I'll miss you Rich. With Love Mark

Dear Dad,
In the town of San Pedro you were almost famous. I was always so proud to call you my dad when someone would ask me 'Are you Big Heads Daughter?' Thank you for always being there for us, no matter what we needed, and teaching us how to be great parents and role models for our kids. Please don't worry about Mom. We are always here for her. I love you and will miss your big personality so much. Until we meet again...

Hello Iacono family,
I only had the opportunity to know Richard for the past two years but i will remember him for a lifetime. I will always remember his jokes and teasing around family and friends. my fondest memory of him was going to the rescue boat for work and seeing him sitting at the docks just being where he was happy. i always looked forward to talking to him in the short "passing by" time. he would never tease me though, only talk about the ocean and ask me about work and Nikki. he was a great man and only wanted the best for his family. i feel bad that i couldn't get him lobster one last time but im sure if i did he would say to make sure i save all the heads. lol. he will be missed but never forgotten.

Dear Grandpa, Although many people have said you scared them when they first met you, I have never been intimated by you. You were always a big, hug-able teddy bear in my eyes. Maybe it's because we have the same blood. I love and miss you so much!

Dear Dad
You often would say, "Days you laugh, and days you cry." These days I'm doing both....crying because I'm sad that you are not here with us, but laughing at memories of our times together. Thank you for being a loving father who was always there for me. Even though you have gone on to a better place, the sound of your voice resonates in my head.... "What do you say, Little One?"
May God keep you safe.
Love, Rita

To the Iacono family,
What an honor it was to know your dad! As a coach at SPHS in the 90's we would talk as he took his break from his walks around the track right at the Victory Arch-usually on Saturdays. The lessons I learned without even asking about being a dad, father, brother, in-law, husband, uncle , or friend were and still are a priceless "gift" I didn't even ask for! He sure loved all of his family! My family's thoughts and prayers go to you all at this time.
