David Douglass Obituary

Born June 17, 1949, passed on September 6, 2010
Beloved Husband and Father and Friend
David Alan Douglass was a Vietnam veteran and a local Torrance mailman for more than 20 years. He was born in haste and fell into the hands of his father before the doctor arrived. The doctor still charged them. He left as suddenly when the Lord decided to take him home as Jesus took him by the hand. Born on Father's Day and with the initials D.A.D. he was destined to be a great father and indeed he was and was also a man who lived a life of unparalleled nobility. He leaves behind sons, Matthew, an accountant; Timothy, a sea captain; and Kevin, still in college and enrolled in the University of Southern California. He also leaves behind a loving wife, Carol who will treasure the 27 years they were able to share. He was a hard worker, a diligent provider for his family, and left us all too suddenly on Labor Day. He was as a shooting star and in his brief 61 years with us brought untold joy and happiness to all he encountered. He will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM, September 25, First Congregational Church, 6633 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, (714) 522-1831. Please join us in celebrating the joy and blessing that was the life of David Alan Douglass. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
