Of San Pedro, CA, Sun Valley, Idaho, and Rancho Mirage, CA Dominic went home to be with the Lord peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 29, 1925 to Frank and Elizabeth Mannino in San Pedro. He is survived by his two sisters, Katherine and Connie and two brothers, Tommy and Frank. Dominic was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. He married Patricia Jane "Patt" Ayres in 1949. Dominic was an entrepreneur who started his own bus transportation company, M&M Charter Lines, in the 1950's and then shortly thereafter, California Sight Seeing Tours. After selling that company he started Mark IV Charter Lines which specialized in home to school, school-bus service throughout California. Dominic always put family first and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His love for travel, golf, skiing, and the theatre are precious memories. Dominic loved his Philanthropic work and enjoyed his fundraising activities for various non-profits including the Catholic Church, Eisenhower Medical Center, and the American Cancer Society. He was a member of Morningside Country Club, the San Pedro Elks Lodge, and founding member of the McCallum Theatre as well as a charter member of the Sons of Italy. He is survived by his children, Jodi Nevandro and husband, John, Jay Mannino, Jan Satterfield and daughter-in-law, Carol Mannino and "adopted" daughter, Dr. Dee Anthoney; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Mannino, Jason Mannino (wife, Katie), Lindsey Reevie (husband, Greg), Emilee Satterfield, Hailee Satterfield, Kimberly Nevandro Roth (husband, Brandon), Jacob Nevandro and Cassidy Nevandro and one great-grandson, Blake Mannino. Friends, employees and vendors alike deeply respected his ethics and morals in both his professional and personal life. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the wonderful caregivers and hospice team who cared for our precious Dominic. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 19th at 1:00 pm at Green Hills Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
