Edward "Bud" Gardner
Passed at the age of 87, of the South Bay Area, died October 4th at his home in San Pedro with his wife, Janice, at his side.Bud is survived by his wife Janice, his sister Mary, daughters Marti and Elena, step-children Chris, Lisa and Lesli, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Jess, and step-daughter Ann.Bud was a graduate of Narbonne High School, a naval veteran of WWII Pacific theater and a successful businessman. (If you have ever seen the seasonal light display at California Fence near the 110 and 91 freeway interchange, thank Bud!)He was an avid fan of car racing, and enjoyed boating and fishing immensely.
Bud was extraordinary friend, employer, family member and person. He enjoyed life, and had a wonderful optimism that uplifted many. Bud has touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed. All of us feel blessed to have had Bud in our lives!The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the home of Grace Wiweke.
