Evaristo Montoya, Jr.

Evaristo Montoya Jr., born January 3, 1941 in Madrid, New Mexico passed away at home on November 15, 2012 surrounded by his loving family in Homeland, California. Junior (as he was known) served in the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated worker whose main focus in life was to provide for his family. He enjoyed music, gathering with friends and family in both Wilmington and Perris, and was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Junior was preceded in death by his son, Armando; grandson, Paul; brothers, Lencho, Johnny, Louie, Joe, Gilbert, and sister, Clara. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cecilia; son, Tony; daughters, Linda, Lisa, Lorraine, Lucia and Loretta. Also surviving him are 30 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Helen, Grace, Bertha; brothers, Ernest and Michael. Visitation 10:00am-12:00pm, Rosary 12:00pm on Monday, November 26, St. James Catholic Church, 260 W. 3rd St., Perris, CA. Interment to follow at Perris Valley Cemetery, 915 N.
