Filomena Colonna
Passed away April 19, 2013 in Torrance. She was born November 1, 1939 in Ischia, Italy and was a 45 year resident of San Pedro. Filomena worked in the deli department at Vons for many years. She was a member of the Mary Star Italian Catholic Federation and the Saint Anne's Society. Filomena loved playing Bingo on Wednesdays with her Italian friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pasquale and Lucia Colonna and her brother in law, Cesare Iodice. She is survived by her sisters, Libera Colonna and Restituta Iodice; brothers, Frank (Antonietta) and Isidoro (Carmela) Colonna; nieces and nephews, Lucy (Carlo) Scotti, Patricia Bristol, Pat ( Sherry) Colonna, John Iodice, Johnny Colonna, Lucy Ann Fedor, Mary (Robert) Javier and Mary Louise (Arnold) Quides; 15 great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. A rosary service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, 9:30 am at Mary Star of the Sea Church. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30. Entombment will be at Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 3-7 pm at McNerney's Mortuary. Donations may be made in Filomena's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 6033 W.
