I knew Fran as a volunteer at Torrance Memorial. She was a wonderful woman. I saw her at the swimming pool at South End when she was doing her water exercises. It was always a treat to visit with her and hear stories about her life. She was very proud of her family. She is greatly missed but will live on in the hearts of the many, many people she touched. My sincere sympathy to her family. Ruth Sve

Beautiful, kind, a sense of grace and giving...are a few of the words that describe Fran. She will always be a special advocate of Torrance Memorial. She was a member of Las Levantadores with my Mom, and a founding member of Las Amigas and Holiday Festival (formerly know as Festival of the Trees) She served on the Foundation Board and was a great "numbers gal" with our Golf Tournament. Her legacy she leaves with her colleagues at Torrance Memorial is inspiration to continue to volunteer and help others.

Thanks Fran...we know you are fundraising and event planning in heaven! With Love and Appreciation,

Laura Schenasi

Fran was a dedicated member of Torrance Memorial's volunteer Auxiliary for 45 years. She served as president, board member and remained an active hospital volunteer up to the present time. Words can't express what she means to Torrance Memorial. She leaves behind many friends and colleagues in our volunteer program. Our love and condolences are extended to Fran's family. Thank you for sharing her with us all these years.

We are all deeply saddened by the loss of Fran Limbird who was such a valuable friend and supporter of Switzer Learning Center for more than 30 years. Fran not only participated in almost all of our special events, she frequently planned and organized them, and then recruited her friends to volunteer to help too. I will miss her many acts of kindness, thoughtful photo cards, sense of humor, contagious laugh, and that knowing twinkle in her eyes when she smiled. Fran gave the valuable gifts of her amazing spirit, character, dedication, enthusiasm and energy to so many other people and organizations in our community that the legacy of her service to others will continue to make a difference in so many lives. We are all grateful and privileged that Fran shared her life with us. All of us at Switzer Learning Center send our condolences and deepest sympathy to Fran's family. Dr. Rebecca Foo, Executive Director, Switzer Learning Center.
