Frank A. Bescoby, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 following a stroke. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, where he also lived. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Felix H. Bescoby and Maude Lamb Bescoby; his siblings, Hazel Bescoby Van Deusen, Felix J. Bescoby, Alan L. Bescoby and Viola Bescoby Parker. Frank is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughters, Diane (Scott) Mills and Janet (Ren Wicks) Bescoby; granddaughters, Robyn and Julie Mills.

Frank earned a degree in mechanical engineering from USC and was a lifelong Trojan. He worked at Garrett-Airesearch for 39 years and retired as Manager of Special Projects. After trying to learn to love golf, he decided to take up flying and actually built his own RV-9A plane, which he flew for 10 years. He also enjoyed water skiing , snow skiing, travel and seeing new places.
