Gregson Taylor Sliff Obituary

Age 56, of San Diego, passed away October 5, 2010. He was born July 14, 1954 in Long Beach to Junedale (Epperson) and Harry Sliff and grew up in Manhattan Beach. Greg was an excellent student, active in music and theatre, which remained his lifelong passions. He graduated from UCLA in political science and from Thunderbird School of Global Management in AZ with an MBA. Greg had a successful 29 year career in finance at Northrop Grumman. He enjoyed 16 years of happy married life with Teow (Jungpraditphol) and their daughter, Bebe. Greg loved to travel the world with Teow. He is survived by Teow and Bebe; his brother, Jim (Kathy); his nephews, Mike and David; and his niece, Morgan. Greg was the eternal optimist with a positive attitude that carried him and his family through the most challenging of times. It was his crazy sense of humor that defined him. Although he is dearly missed, our lives are fuller for the time we had with Greg. The scattering of ashes at sea will leave from Redondo Beach Harbor at 9:15 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2010. A Celebration of Greg's Life will follow at 11:00 AM at the Portofino Inn, 260 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society. Of my childhood friends, Greg stood out from the crowd as a selfless, caring and sensitive person. Greg also had a fabulous sense of humor. He was brilliantly witty and could easily have had a career as a comedy writer. So, thank you, Greg, for touching the lives of all who knew you with your gentle spirit and smiling personality.
