Harold Carter Lowe passed away on October 22, 2012 at his recently purchased new home in Bend Oregon near his daughter. A service celebrating his life and home going to our Lord in heaven will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at West Hills Village Senior Residence where he also lived in Portland Oregon. He was born in Redondo Beach, CA and later graduated from Redondo High School. He was a decorated WWII veteran in the army who served his country in the Asiatic-Pacific. For 32 years, from 1951-1983, he inspired many students while teaching business courses and facilitating the Young Life Program at Mira Costa High School. He was a born-again Christian who served in leadership roles and sang in the choir at Community Baptist Church for many years. He was a wonderful father who enjoyed spending summers with his family at his cabin in Smiley Park near Running Springs, CA. During retirement with his wife, he wrote poetry for the Seniors Group at the First Nazarene Church in Medford, OR. He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Barrett. He is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Lowe and son, Douglas Lowe. Contribute to his celebration of life by sending memoir notes to Rebecca at 65216 85th St. Bend, OR 97701.
