Inge Hossepian, a long-time resident of Torrance, CA passed away on February 07, 2013 at the age of 82. Born Inge Frieda Helene Dettmann, she was raised in Germany, survived the tribulations of World War II and the bombardment of her home town of Lübeck by Allied forces in 1942. In 1959, in the aftermath of the passing of her great aunt and uncle, Ida and Wilhelm Franck, who raised her; she had the opportunity to come to America and without any personal acquaintances or knowledge of the English language, she traveled to Pasadena, California where she labored as a professional seamstress. Married in 1961 and bearing two children, son Nishan and daughter, Cohara, the family relocated to the city of Torrance in 1969 where she continued her career as a seamstress, a Real Estate Agent and in the latter part of her life, a pet sitter. Despite her arduous past, her undaunted spirit shone forth as a beacon to all whom she encountered. She leaves behind a great many friends and loved ones in her wake. She is survived by her two children; her ex-husband, Serope Hossepian; and half-sisters, Edith Plinski of Oshawa Canada, Irmgard and Resie of Lübeck, Germany. The family would like to thank Companion Hospice, all her friends and friends of the family for their love and support. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
