James Zar Obituary

James Zar

James Zar passed away December 10, 2015. He was born in San Pedro, Ca in 1941 and came from a family of hard working fisherman.

He was married to Judy McBride for over 30 years and is survived by his three children, Richelle McCowan, Ricky and Chet Zar, and his brother, Gerald Zar.

James attended Valley Jr. College, the Pasadena Playhouse, and the San Francisco Art Institute. He achieved a lifetime adult teaching credential in art.

His tribute to Al Davis of the Raiders hangs in Canton Ohio's Football Hall of Fame. He has participated in many art shows, including the Port of LA Bicentennial Art Show, where he won first place and Peoples Choice award also, he was awarded the San Dimas Art Festival Gold Award.

He was involved with major movie studios, where he worked professionally and became friends with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone among others.
