John Turner Obituary
John Turner was the seventh of ten children born to Moses and Mary (Cabiness) Turner in Huntsville, Alabama. His family later relocated to Detroit Michigan. John was a Korean War veteran and later moved to Los Angeles, CA where he married Barbara. He attended a variety of universities and had a never ending love for knowledge. He received a Masters Degree in English as well as a Law Degree. He served on the City of Compton police force and later retired as a substitute teacher in various Los Angeles County school districts. John is survived by three siblings, Pearline, Mildred, and Richard; his children, Katheryn (Porter), Rosemary, Kurt, and Susan; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
