Margaret Ann Allen

Margaret Allen passed away peacefully on the morning of December 2, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born June 8, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Anna and Aaron Seddon. Her family moved to California shortly after her birth and settled in Los Angeles where she attended school and graduated from Washington High School in 1935. She met Bob Allen while working for the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. and they were married in February 1941. The family moved from Los Angeles to Torrance in 1954 where she was a full time homemaker and with three active boys. Her time was spent serving as a Cub Scout den mother, in the PTA, teaching Sunday school and primary in her church as well as volunteering for her son's sports teams. The family loved the outdoors and camping which they did often during the summer months. That love of the mountains and outdoors stayed with her through out her life. She worked in real estate until retirement in 1978 when she and Bob moved to Sedona, AZ. They later moved to Sun City West, AZ where they lived until 2009 when they returned to Torrance to be near family. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna, son Roy Allen and grandson Ryan Allen. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bob; sons, Robert (Carolyn) Allen and Ray (Barbara) Allen; grandchildren, Ginger (Dustin) Sauter, Kelli (Brian) Isakson and Bret Allen; sister Nilah (George) Allen and many grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was a wonderful and caring mother, wife, friend and neighbor who loved and served her family and friends throughout her life. Services will be private. Please sign the guestbook
