Michele A. Butorac
Michele A Butorac 1/13/1958 - 11/26/2013
Dear Michele, you left us behind too soon. Even though you've been fighting cancer for over a year, we really didn't expect you to go so quickly. But you left us peacefully, quietly, and surrounded by your family and friends. You were a lifetime resident of San Pedro, attended Holy Trinity Elementary, Mary Star of the Sea High School, and Loyola University. You were an outstanding teacher for over 30 years, and the tributes that have been pouring in from your former students have been amazing. While your life wasn't nearly as long as you deserved, you made an indelible impact on those of us you left behind. You made a difference. Not many of us can say that. You are moving on to be with our Nona, Danica Katnich, our parents John and Helen Butorac, and our brothers Bob and Anthony. You are leaving behind your brother John, niece Jessica, best friend Lisa, aunt Mary Ann Grancich, your insane cats Mac and Jack, several cousins, and innumerable friends who love you. Go with God, little sister. You will be missed.
The family would like to thank the administration, faculty, and students of Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles for their kindness and understanding during Michele's last illness, and for recognizing her value both as an educator and as an exceptional human being. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Michele's name to the City of Hope in Duarte. A Funeral service will be offered Tuesday, Dec. 3,10:00 am at St. Peters Episcopal Church. Burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday 4:00 to 8:00 pm at
