Millie H. Petrich

1915 - 2010

Millie was born in San Francisco, CA on July 19, 1915 and passed away December 6, 2010 at the age of 95 in San Pedro. Her family moved to San Pedro in 1924. Millie graduated from San Pedro High School in 1933. After graduating, she went to work for the F.W. Woolworth Co. Store for several years, then later got married. She was preceded in death by her husband, Borti Sr. after 67 years of marriage. She is survived by her two sons, Borti Jr. (Terri) and Richard Petrich; five grandchildren, Krisi (Andy) Bosnich, Borti Petrich III, Melinda (Mark) Mascola, Lisa, and Angelica Petrich; five great-grandchildren, Drew, Jason, Justin, Max, and Marco; brother-in-law, Joe Petrich; sister-in-law, Mandy Petrich; and many nieces and nephews. Millie was a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts and a YMCA Mother in the YMCA Mother's Club. She was also active on the PTA school board in Dana and San Pedro High Schools and was a volunteer worker at the San Pedro Hospital for many years. Millie was presented with a Red Cross Pin for the volunteer work she did at the American Red Cross. At Millie's request a private graveside service was held at Green Hills Memorial Park.
