Patrick O'Neill Obituary

May 8, 1936 - September 19, 2010

Patrick John O'Neill passed away in Redondo Beach. Born in Queens, NY, Patrick was 74 when he died. He joined the Marines during the Korean War and received a purple heart with a cluster. Upon his return he tried out for the New York Giants as a lineman and was on their taxi squad for three years. After that he owned and chauffeured his NASCAR for 4 years. He never lost his love for car racing or football. Patrick is survived by his wife, Claudia K. O'Neill; sister, Peggy Collette; brother, Joseph (Irene) O'Neill; and brother-in-law, Ron (Karin) Kauhnla. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by all. The service will be held at McCormick Mortuary in Redondo Beach on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at sea will follow the following week.
