Bob was born in Sioux City, Iowa. At the age of 13 the family moved to Hawthorne, CA. He attended Leuzinger High School, graduating at the age of 16. He also attended Compton College and Cal Poly SLO. Bob was drafted during the Korean Conflict. He married Margie Taylor of El Segundo, and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Bob started a banking career as a teller, growing with Pacific State Bank in Hawthorne, ultimately becoming the first president of Commonwealth Bank. He was active in Jr. Chamber of Commerce, and Hawthorne Kiwaniis. He is survived by his wife, Margie; daughter, Dianne Kellermeyer (Mike); son, Paul (Lori); 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by daughters, Melinda (Mindy) and Teresa (Teri) Menjou. Bob was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. (Mormon). Viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., followed by service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at LDS Church, 2000 Artesia Blvd. Torrance, CA.
