Vito Terzoli Obituary
Vito Terzoli

November 12, 1934 - January 19, 2013

After a four-month battle with MDS, our beloved father, Vito, has joined our mother, Maria, sister, Toni and his parents, Ercole and Filomena in heaven. Dad was born November 12, 1934 in Balestrate, Sicily, Italy. With hopes of giving his family the American Dream, he immigrated to San Pedro in 1964. He was a commercial fisherman for over 70 years. The ocean was in his veins. His boats, the Anna Maria II and Maria T were his pride and joy. He was a proud member of the Italian/American club of San Pedro and a devout follower of Santo Pio. He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Antonietta, who never left his side; along with his children, Ercole (JoAnn), Nino (Paola), Ornella, Robert, Anna (Al) Haycraft; as well as his extended children, Diana (Sam) Galletti, Danny Inman, and Annette (Sean) Mitchell. Dad has 26 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Dad loved playing cards, going to Palm Springs and Las Vegas with "The Gang." Dad was known as "Uncle Vito" to everyone who knew and loved him. On behalf of the Terzoli family, we would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers throughout this terribly difficult time. The viewing for dad will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary. A rosary service will be held that evening at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
