Yvonne Gayle Battelle

1939 - 2010

Gayle Battelle passed away on September 15, 2010, at her home in Templeton, California. She was born in Malvern, Arkansas on February 20, 1939. She married Charles Battelle III and resided in Torrance, before moving to Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. She was employed by Harbor Regional Center where she worked as a secretary. She moved to Templeton, CA in 2004. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas, cruises, and mountain trips to see the snow. She loved watching her grandsons race dirt bikes and her granddaughters cheer and dance. Gayle also loved the holidays! Christmas being a favorite, her home was always decorated to the fullest. She is survived by her husband, Charles Battelle III; daughter, Terry Orr and son-in-law, Bob Orr of Templeton, CA; her son, Tom Battelle and daughter-in-law, Sharon Battelle of Lomita, CA; five grandchildren, Michael, Brittney, Brandon, Tommy and Lucy; brother, Carl Bailey of Rolling Hills Estates; niece, Mary Gerace of Beaumont, TX; nephew, Ricky Bailey of Arkansas; great niece and nephew, Hannah and Garrett Gerace. Gayle is now peacefully resting at Green Hills Cemetery. Her memory will continue to live in our hearts. We will forever love her.
