Carmen Fowler, wonderful wife, loving mother, generous friend, and dedicated Christian, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2014. Carmen was raised on a farm in Edinburg, Texas along with her six siblings. She attended Pan American University and later earned her Master's degree in Administration. She worked at Northrop Corporation in human resources from 1975 to 1985. In retirement, she was very active and took great joy in helping in the community. Carmen proudly served with the Palos Verdes Women's Club, where she was President for two years. Another organization she served with was the Friends of the Peninsula Symphony, where she coordinated six annual fundraising galas. She was a member of the RHCC Choir and active with the RHCC Prayer Chain. Carmen read the Bible every day. She also served with the Community Helpline, the Friends of Wayfarers Chapel, Los Paisanos, and the Peninsula Gardeneers' Club. Carmen treasured her family and enjoyed laughter, travel, nature, volunteering, and most of all her love of the Lord. Carmen and Fred traveled internationally, and took a grand total of 26 cruises with family and friends. Carmen is survived by her husband Fred, daughter Lisa (and Bill), son Steve, step-son Rick (and Hollie), step-daughter Cyndie (and Pete), with grandchildren Danny and Katie, and her six siblings and their families.
