April 22, 1959 - June 4, 2014
Debi passed away after a long hard fight with cancer. Her infectious smile and laugh will be deeply missed. She is now pain- free and dancing the streets of Heaven! She was raised in Redondo Beach, CA and attended Redondo Union High. There, she was an avid soccer player and dancer. She always loved music and won numerous awards in dance competitions. She also enjoyed the beach, camping, waterskiing, snow skiing, and the beach parties. Her young adult life was purely dedicated to raising her children and involving them in church, sports, school, the outdoors, and all activities each of them enjoyed. A very selfless person, Debi dedicated her love and life to her family. As empty nesters, Debi and her husband, Doug Fancy, thoroughly enjoyed life to the fullest and spent much of their time riding their Harleys, camping, traveling, and hanging out with all their kids, grandkids, and friends. As a District Sales Manager for Ghirardelli Chocolate, Debi absolutely loved her job and continued to work until she was no longer able. Whether at work or play, her joy of life and pleasant spirit was apparent in the way she treated others and the numerous friends she made throughout her life. Debi is survived by her husband Doug Fancy, her children and their spouses; Amber and Tom Baird, Summer and Jason Herbert, Adam and Johanna Mockett, Dustin and Allison Mockett, Kyle Mockett, Adam and Danielle Fancy, Jake Fancy, her mother Herminda Banda, siblings Joe Stott and Dede Lloyd, Jimmy and Cindy Banda, Cheri Hacker, and 14 grandchildren! A memorial service will be held at Sea Coast Grace Church, 5100 Cerritos Ave., Cypress, CA 90630 on June 12th at 4 p.m. Sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com.
