Guillermo "Bill" Betancourt was born in Quito, Ecuador on December 24, 1928 and died peacefully in his home in San Pedro, California on June 24, 2014, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Angela, his children; Alexandra, Patricio, Carlos and Gustavo whom took care of him at home, his siblings; Alfonso, Lauro and Yolanda Betancourt, Daughters In-law; Janet, Stacie, Son-In-law, Ricky, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Guillermo was always a hardworking family man, generous, had a sense of humor, devote Catholic-Christian. He was loved by his extended family and friends in the community. He made a positive impact on the lives of many people. Guillermo's viewing will be held at McNerneys Mortuary in San Pedro on Sunday July 6, 2014 from 1-6pm and rosary from 6-7pm. The "Celebration of his life," mass will be on Monday July 7,2014 at Holy Trinity Parish in San Pedro, at 10 a.m., followed by his burial at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
