Michael Anthony Butcher
Passed away Feb. 10, 2014 in Augusta, GA from complications from a stroke. Born Jan. 18, 1946 in San Pedro, he graduated from Fermin Lausuen High School in 1963. From 1965-1967 he served in the US Army based at Fort Carson, CO, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1971. He lived in Munich, West Germany studying music and accounting. He later moved to Atlanta working as an accountant for various companies and taught piano lessons in his spare time. He retired in 2009 and moved to Sparta, GA. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Butcher and brother, Gregory Butcher. Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Butcher; brother, Vernon Butcher; sisters, Verna (Charles) DeKeado, Bernadette Rose Dupre, Patricia (Jerome) Cooksie and Michele Butcher; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
