Cecelia Claire Nicholson Morris Weller

Cecelia Claire Nicholson Morris Weller peacefully passed away surrounded by her children the morning of May 27, 2012 in her home in American Fork, Utah. She was 90 years old. She was born to Jessie Johnson and Glenn Nicholson in Kemmerer, Wyoming, March 11, 1922. Claire grew up in Los Angeles, California, enjoying the beach, sports and animals. She was a member of the graduating Class of 1940 at Los Angeles High School. Following graduation, she went to work for Eastman Kodak. During the war years of WWII, she was employed by Lockheed Aircraft, where she served as "Miss Lockheed". She began a modeling career during those years, making many appearances on behalf of the military and Lockheed Aircraft. In 1948, Claire married Raymond Thomas Morris, Jr. in Los Angeles. They settled in that city, raising two children. Many wonderful years were spent in their homes in both Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, California. Claire was employed in the Hermosa Beach city schools as the school secretary at Hermosa View Elementary School. She enjoyed both the beach and playing tennis. Following her retirement from the school district, Claire moved to South Torrance, CA and worked for an architect. She married Stan Weller in Los Angeles in 1970. She moved to Utah in 1990 to be near her children and grandchildren. Claire is survived by her son, Tom Morris, her daughter, Cathy Morris Burrows (Steve) and Claire's half sister, Virginia. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christy Pulley (Robert), Matt Burrows (Keri), Mike Burrows (Mindi), Jane Chipman (Brian), Megan Wettstein (Steve) and Brian Burrows; great-grandchildren surviving Claire are, Christopher, Gigi, Aspen, Ellie, Teigen, Cale, Andrew, Hazel, Crosby, Cameron, Everett and Naomi, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Claire was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Glen and half brother Dick, her husband Ray, and husband, Stan. Private family services have been planned.
