Born January 21, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, grew up in Rancho Palos Verdes passed away October 18th, 2012 in Bethesda, MD of cancer. He leaves behind his two loving daughters, Mercedes Harper, a doctoral student at Rice University in Houston TX, Michaela Harper, a forensic chemist for the Drug Enforcement Administration in MD and Masters student at American University, and his cousin Frances Lee Roberts and husband Rich of Wilmington, CA together with her family. Marshall Barnett Harper was a retired Army LTC and an employee with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He graduated from Miraleste high school - Rancho Palos Verdes, CA in 1973, studied at University of Southern California and he held MBA from University of Missouri-Kansas City. All his life he was involved in sports and was an avid tri athlete. A service with full military honors will be held at the Memorial Chapel, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Arlington National cemetery at 1PM. Marshall, you will never be forgotten and you will always live in our hearts. You are on the way to eternal peace and you will soon run again throughout gardens of paradise. Provide us with love and guidance where ever you are.
