John "IVO" Yutronich

John " IVO" Yutronich passed away on Monday, July 9th weeks after celebrating his 86th birthday. Born in the town of Sutivan on the island of Brac in Croatia on June 11th 1927. John fled the country during WWII and spent most of his teenage years in a refugee camp in Port Said, Egypt. Offered the opportunity, he traveled to San Pedro and started his life in America. He spent his working years at Harbor Boat shipyard on Terminal Island. John has been married to his wife, Mary for over 55 years and raised 5 children: daughter, Teresa Henkhaus (Ron); sons, Johnny Yutronich (Cristina), Jerry Yutronich (Laura), Joseph Yutronich and James Yutronich; grandchildren Patrick Yutronich, Ryan Salazar, Daniel Yutronich, Jared Yutronich, Victoria Yutronich, Audrey Yutronich and Erin Henkhaus. Visitation will be Monday, July 15th from 3:00 to 8:00 at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. The rosary will be on Tuesday, July 16th at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in San Pedro, the Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
