John Louis Nappi
On the morning of October 7th, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, John Louis Nappi passed away quietly at home with family by his side. John, a WWII veteran, served proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was then a well- traveled Merchant Marine. Later he worked as a longshoreman where he was a proud member of the ILWU, Local 13 and had served as Sergeant at Arms. "Be happy with Nappi." John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita Nappi; two sons, Louie and Frank (Kelly) Nappi; and his daughter Martha (John) Nappi-Fiorenza; and five grandchildren: John, Danielle, Dominique Nappi, Rita Fiorenza, and Alison Nappi. Please sign the guestbook at A Vigil Service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, 7:00 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 11, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by entombment at Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at
