William Miller Moore

Born November 21, 1934 to a family of ten in Douglas, Arizona, William Miller Moore passed on November 30, 2013 suddenly and peacefully from natural causes at home, in Carson, to be with our lord. Our dad was a long time Harbor Area resident for most of his life after coming to live with his oldest brother when both of his parents passed in the same year (1942). Growing up in San Pedro he attended both Dana Jr High and San Pedro High School where he excelled in gymnastics. Later, he actively served in the Army during the Korean War (1958-59) after which he returned to live in Wilmington and Carson. A few years later, he landed a job at American Can Company where he completed 31 years of loyal, reliable, and hell raising service. During those years he earned the title "Wild Bill" as he transitioned from partier, biker, homeowner (Carson), weightlifter (South Bay Gym), father, single parent; all the while never compromising the way he liked things done. He always was a good provider who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved animals and kids as well as doing things with friends and family, whether it be walking, working out, having a good conversation, or a heated argument. You will be missed Bill.
