Gary W. Fleming
Gary W. Fleming, 64, of Torrance, CA died January 30, 2014 of Liver Disease. He is survived by his long-time companion, Judy Foster; his loving son Aaron Fleming and Aaron's partner Cindy Rodriguez of Rancho Cucamonga; his brother Kenneth Fleming of Anaheim; his grandsons Aaron and Michael; and his friends. Gary was born in Lynwood, CA, and was the son of Edith Brookfield and Ray Fleming from Texas. Gary died at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center following extensive interventions from both Kaiser and UCLA. His work in public service included over 20 years with the City of Monterey Park water department. He retired in 2005 after moving to New Horizons in Torrance, where he felt happy and lucky to live and be. Gary loved travel; his favorite words were "Let's go!" Gary asked that his passing be private and simple with cremation and ashes scattered at sea. Anyone wishing to do so may make a donation, in his memory, to the .
