TROY - Paul L. Wolfrum, 75, of 1791 Lakeshore Drive, Troy, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at his daughter's residence in Worthington.
Paul was born Dec. 24, 1937, in Defiance County, to the late Lawrence and Lois (Layne) Wolfrum. He was married to Verna Meyer on Sept. 25, 1971, and she survives.
Paul also is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Wolfrum of Worthington, Renea Wolfrum of Chandler, Ariz. and Regina Pierce of Midlothian, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Nancy Wolfrum of Hamden, Conn.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Mary Wolfrum of Allison Park, Pa., and David and Joyce Wolfrum of Omaha, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Charles Rupp of Pettisville; and three grandchildren, Tanysha, Jamie and Julia. He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Rupp.
Paul was a 1955 graduate of Defiance High School. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Huber Heights. He also was a member of VFW Post 5436 of Troy, and a former member of American Legion Post 43 in Troy. He was a loyal Browns fan, avid bowler, and loved gardening. He worked as an office executive for Purolator Courier, Emery Freight, and later became co-owner of P-K Leasing Company.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Melvin Younger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 10: 30-11: 30 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or All Saints Lutheran Church in Worthington in his memory. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fisher-cheneyfuneralhome.com.

Verna, so sad to hear of Paul's passing. He helped me through my expedited years with Bullet. The last time I saw you and Paul was at a car show and swap meet in Troy a few years back. Praying for you and your family.
