FLETCHER — Dorothy D. Pottorf, 93, of Fletcher, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Troy Care Center. She was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Shelby County to the late William Frederick and Mary Ethel (Martin) Millhouse. She married Howard F. Pottorf on April 25, 1941; he preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra K. (Mikel) Russell of Piqua and Diane Doak of Sidney; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Doak, Rhonda Schemmel, Thomas Doak, Holly Clem, Joshua Doak, Sarah Doak, Jim (Sandy) Russell, Scot (Jennifer) Russell; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Milhouse of Piqua. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chet Millhouse.
Mrs. Pottorf was a graduate of Greene Township/Fairlawn Schools and was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and being with her family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fletcher Fire Department, 6599 State Route 589, Fletcher, OH 45326.
