Dorothy Mae Paluck

TROY — Dorothy Mae Paluck, 91, of Troy, passed away peacefully 12:09 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Troy on Feb. 5, 1922, to the late Russell and Marguerite (Sharits) Brown. She was married to George Paluck, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2003, after 30 years of marriage.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Carol Dove of Celina; two grandchildren, Matthew Sphar of Columbus, Michael Joe Sphar of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two great grandchildren, Mallory and Breck Sphar of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and one extraordinarily special great niece, Stephanie (Kevin) Maggert of Christiansburg. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Sphar of Casstown; one brother, Frank Brown; and two sisters, Ermal Davis and Jane Beach.

Dorothy worked at Waco Aircraft- Lear Aviation- WPAFB as a draftsman/ office manager and her last career as a beautician for 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Celina and the American Legion Auxiliary in Celina. She was a champion scrabble player and loved to hear or tell a good joke.

Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
