Edmonia O. Fine

BRADFORD — Edmonia O. Fine, 90, of Bradford, passed away at her home Thursday, May 22, 2014. Edmonia was born in Brookneal, Va., on July 27, 1923, to the (late) Luther Martin and Verna (Owen) Pollard. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Craddock Shoe Factory in Farmersville, Va., the Dime Store in Farmersville, Va., and Braun Brothers in Troy. She was a member of the Bradford Church of the Brethren and attended the United Pioneer Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederick Leroy Fine Sr. in 1996; son, Timothy Fine; step-daughter, Ellen Sullivan; sister, Louise Stevens; and brothers, Lewis, Donald, Jessie, Roy, George, Gordon, and Vernie Pollard.

Edmonia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sue Fine of Troy; daughter, Beverly Mires of St. Paris; four step-sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Ruth Fine of Bradford, Norman Fine of Vandalia, Frederick Jr. and Gloria Fine of Greenville, Paul and Rusty Fine of Arizona; granddaughter, Amy Weaver and Eli Brogan of Bradford; step-grandchildren, Mike and Loretta Fine of Piqua, Melinda and Joel Puterbaugh of Gettysburg, Freddie Jay Fine of Greenville, Paul Fine Jr. of California; great-grandchildren, Dallas, Daniel, Dylan, Marissa, and Macy Cassel, Ethan and Lexi Brogan, Sarah and husband, John Venrick, Shanon Puterbaugh, Beth and Eric Fine; great-great-grandchildren, Skyleigh, Serenity, Jonathan, Allyona, Annalise; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bradford Church of the Brethren with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bradford Church of the Brethren.
