Gloria C. Rigola

PIQUA - Gloria C. Rigola, 73, of Worthington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
She was born to the late Alverta and Leo Eisert in Piqua, on June 3, 1939.
A Real Estate Broker (GRI, CRB), she owned Gloria Rigola Properties/Coldwell Banker in Piqua, where she was also a past director of the Miami County Board of Realtors, a member of the Shelby County Board of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors President Sales Club, Miami County Realtors Million Dollar Club and Realtors Political Action Committee Capital Member.
In addition, she served as the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce Director and Chairman of the Board. She received the Piqua Chamber of Commerce Achievement Award in 1994 and Business Person of the Year in 1996. Also, she was a Piqua Improvement Corporation Director, Women in Networking Director, Piqua Rotary member, Piqua United Way Board of Directors member and a member of Fortnightly Club.
Passionate about her church, she held positions as a Westminster Presbyterian Church Elder, Trustee and Women's Guild and Choir Member. Above all, she was a wonderful, patient and loving mother who stayed involved with her children and held positions as PTA president and president of the Piqua Football Mom's Club, to name a few. She also adored her grandchildren and family pets. In 1996, she suffered from an anoxic brain injury, leaving her unable to work or drive. Still, she found ways to give back. While living at Wesley Glen, she contributed by helping to make hundreds of fabric "stuffed" dogs for pediatric hospital patients as well as volunteering to walk the Wesley Glen resident dog, Gigi.
Gloria is survived by her loving children, Ann (Larry) Kleinhenz and Nick (Carol) Rigola; grandchildren, Peter Kleinhenz, Carmell Rigola, Nicholas Rigola, and David Watren; and her brother, Edwin (Helen) Eisert.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Wesley Glen, 5155 N. High St., Worthington, with Chris Heckaman officiating. A graveside burial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua with the Rev. Kazy Hinds officiating. Immediately following, a reception will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
