Jack C. Huffman

PIQUA — Jack C. Huffman, 84, of Piqua, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. He was born May 28, 1929, in Piqua to the late Oriville and Agnus (Rein) Huffman. On June 26, 1954, in Piqua, he married Donna Gray. She survives.

Jack is also survived by one daughter, Pamela I. Huffman of Piqua; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Renie Huffman of Piqua, Larry and Melodie Huffman of Covington, Oriville and Eva Huffman of Sidney, and Doug Huffman of Indiana; nine sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Dunn of Piqua, Melody and George Wise of Covington, Deana and Jay Brumbaugh of Covington, Patty and Wendell Stephen of Piqua, Linda and Douglas Boyer of Troy, Connie and Gerald Wagner of Piqua, Ellen Brokaw of Covington, Candice and Gary Leaply of Sidney, and Jackie Kinnison of Greenville; four grandchildren, Brandon C. Huffman of Piqua, Bridgette Hale of Cincinnati, Amber Hale of Troy, and Dalton Harms of Piqua; and two great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Huffman.

Jack was a member of the Piqua Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Stokes Masonic Lodge 0305 in Port Jefferson. Jack worked for Hobart Corp in Troy for more than 30 years. Jack proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua with Pastor Larry Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be presented by The Elite Tribute Squad.
