FLETCHER — Janet Mae Burlile, 79, of Fletcher, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton. She was born in Troy on June 28, 1934, to the late Charles and Bertha (Kashner) Oswalt. Janet was married to Allen Burlile for 58 years. He survives.
Janet is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Kuehne of Troy; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Linda Burlile, Columbus; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Cheri Oswalt of Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Don Littlejohn and Lennett and Lester Francis, both of Troy; and five grandchildren, Danielle (Denlinger) Schwettman, Katie (Michael) (Denlinger) Pitts and Josh, Caleb and Megan Burlile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gale Oswalt.
Janet was a member of Casstown United Methodist Church, Casstown, where she was active in Casstown United Methodist Women. She graduated as a member of the Class of 1952 of Lost Creek High School. Janet was also a member of Troy-Tipp Christian Women's Club and the Red Hat Chatterer's Club. She worked for many years with her husband, Allen, in his company, G&S Tool Service, while raising the family.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Maggie Sykes officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
