PIQUA - Mac Johnson, 88, of Piqua, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 5, 1924, in Gettysburg, Ohio, to the late James and Wilma Johnson.
He is survived by his long time companion of 22 years, Linda Rice of Piqua; one son, Curtis and wife Connie Johnson; one granddaughter, Ashley Johnson; two step granddaughters; two step grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Greenville High School, then attended Ball State University where he earned an associate's degree.
He retired from Kroger after 23 years as a meat cutter. He enjoyed sprint car/motorcycle racing with his son and horse racing with long time friends, Bob and Larry Jackson. He was a member of the Moose, Eagles and AMVETS.
Private services will be held for the family.
