SIDNEY — Mary E. Schwartz, 87, of Sidney, died at Sidney Care Center on Feb. 3, 2014, at 1:15 a.m. She was born in Searcy, Ark., on March 12, 1926, to the late Claude and Ruth (Clark) Graham Sr. On April 20, 1946, she married Roy Schwartz. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1999.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Ruth A. Cruea, Helen McGlone and Connie Jarvis, all of Sidney, and Sandra Stottlemire of Barrackville, W.Va.; two sons, Tom Schwartz and Paul Schwartz, both of Piqua; one foster son, David Curtis of Hinesville, Ga.; one step daughter, Charlotte Cruea of Piqua; one brother, Carl Graham of Piqua; three sisters, Lillian Nadine Chaney of Tipp City, Marie King of Mississippi and Betty Colvert of Piqua; 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Schwartz; two grandchildren, Dawn Schwartz and Mark Cruea; and one brother, Claude J. Graham Jr.
Mary was a loving homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua with the Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
