TROY — Robert H. Roth, 90, of Troy, died at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Piqua Manor Nursing Home, Piqua. He was born in Sidney, Dec. 18, 1923, to the late Robert H. and Olive (Murray) Roth Sr. On October 1946, in Wapakoneta, he married Annabelle Streight. She survives.
Robert is also survived by four children, Linda Bernard, wife of the late Orville Bernard, Nancy and Bill Allen, Louise and Ken Forror and Jim and Toni Roth, all of Piqua; two sisters, Miriam Minniar and Janice Iiams, both of Sidney; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great grandson, Cameron Forror; and two sisters, Annabelle Trissell and Beatrice Bodiker.
Robert was a graduate of Sidney High School, Sidney, and attended Tri-State College in Angola, Ind. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Piqua. Robert was also a hand radio operator and a member of Masonic Lodge of Piqua, Piqua VFW Post 4874, Piqua American Legion Post 184 and an honorary member of the Piqua YMCA. He was a city engineer for Piqua and Troy for several years. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
