Rodney Eugene Fessler

COVINGTON — Rodney Eugene Fessler, 84, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born May 4, 1930, in Covington, to his parents Lester George and Rachel Ione (Reck) Fessler. Rodney worked for Hobart Manufacturing for 35 years and then retired from Whirlpool in Greenville in 1994. He also worked at Hardee's in Piqua for 26 years. He served with the U.S .National Guard and U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Lilly Mae (Robinson) Fessler; his parents; sister Marcella Kincaid; brothers-in-law Robert Kincaid and Charles Smith . He will be missed and remembered by his daughter Rhonda M. Fessler of Covington and sister Rozella Smith of Piketon.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, July 18, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
