Roxane Mathison

SIDNEY — Roxane Mathison, 53, of Sidney, died at 6:25 a.m. Friday June 13, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 27, 1961, in Piqua to the late Robert C. and Helen (Knear) Mayberry. She married Melvin Mathison in August 2006 in Lima; and he survives.

Other survivors include five children, Angela (Fred) Seipel of Sidney, Randy Shannon of Columbus, Stacie (Jim) Hawley of Russells Point, Matthew Mathison of Bellefontaine, Samantha Faulder of Lakeview; 15 grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters, Paul (Donna) Mayberry of St. Mary's, Helen Lane of Georgia, George (Sue) Mayberry of Florida, Jim (Linda) Mayberry of Troy, Pam Lambert of Fletcher, Gene Mayberry of Lockington, Steve (Theresa) Mayberry, Chuck Mayberry, Vickie (Joe) Wicheit all of Piqua, and Linda Duban of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Mayberry.

Mrs. Mathison tenderly cared for people as a nurses aide for many years and then prided herself maintaining the Plastipak building in Jackson Center. She enjoyed Nascar, was an excellent seamstress and an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday June 21, 2014, at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, with the Rev. Samuel McCoy officiating.
